What are Reflexology and Reiki?

Reflexology is a natural, non-invasive healing art that activates the body’s innate ability to restore itself.

Every part of the body has a reflex or reflex area in the feet which corresponds with every part, gland and organ of the body.

By applying pressure on these reflexes without the use of tools, creams or lotions, the reflexologist opens the body’s neural pathways enabling it to move towards a state of balance or normal functioning called homeostasis and heal itself.

Reiki (pronounced 'ray-key') is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement.

Reiki is transcendental energy - it works on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It is comprehensive energy - covering the nervous, circulatory and endocrine systems, all major organs and the seven major chakras.

The Reiki practitioner doesn’t direct the healing, but instead acts as a channel for loving Life Force Energy to flow through, reaching the client/ recipient where it is needed most, enabling the body to return to its own natural balance and heal itself.

While Reflexology and Reiki are safe alternative therapies, they should not be used in place of a physician’s treatment plan or prescribed medications. Instead both should be used to complement existing medical and natural therapies, treatments or medications to allow the body to function more efficiently and effectively respond to existing treatment.
